Many College Students play in Ranked events during holidays and in the off season. Hopefully playing well will be rewarded with selection for the Walker Cup or Curtis Cup teams. MORE ON RANKED EVENTS
NCAA Notes: If playing in tournaments during the school year there are many NCAA rules prohibiting the acceptance of tournament gifts and limiting the number of days using the College Golf Team Bag.
College Coaches can sign the team up here at TRC COLLEGE TEAM
There are also tournaments geared just for college aged players.
In addition there are currently 2 Ranking Systems for Collegiate golfers.
GOLFWEEK rankings (ranks both Amateurs & College players seperately) and the
GOLFSTAT rankings for college players & teams only, not all amateurs and only if you have played a certain number of events. Golf week uses the Jeff Sagarin’s rating system. This ratings give an indication of who is playing well over the past 52 weeks. Where Golfstat’s scores are averaged based on the players results. An adjusted Scoring Average is available which is adjusted for par and conditions.

The R&A World Amateur Golf Ranking. The WAGR System ranks the top Amateur Golfers in the world on the basis of their average performance in Counting Events on a rolling cycle over the previous 52 weeks. The R&A collates results from world wide amateur events.
